CPO HANSER SERVICE GmbH (“CPO”) takes great care to protect the personal information of its website users. Data are personal when they can be linked to your person and provide information on your behaviour or your characteristics. Such data include of course your name, e-mail address, postal address and telephone number and also information on your possible interests and surfing habits to the extent that this information can be directly or indirectly linked to you.
We collect, use and process the personal data you provide only in accordance with the strict data protection laws in Germany and in compliance with the provisions of the EU Data Protection Directive.
When you access our website or one of the files provided on the website, data will be recorded on our servers for internal, system-related and statistical purposes. These data may possibly be identifiable (name of the retrieved file, date and time of retrieval, amount of data transferred, notification of successful retrieval, the web browser and requesting domain). No person-related use of the data will be made. The right is reserved to perform statistical analysis of anonymised data records.
If you register for a congress, reserve a hotel or make another booking on our website, we will ask for your name and other personal information that we need in this context. We use and process these data only to answer your queries, to process contracts made with you and for technical administration. Your personal data will only be given to third parties or otherwise communicated if this is required for contract implementation (e.g. to reserve a hotel room booked by CPO) or for settlement of accounts or if you have unambiguously given your consent.
Your personal data will be deleted after expiry of the legal, statutory or contractual retention period, as long as they are no longer required to fulfil a contract. Data not affected by the above will be deleted when the purposes as described in the consent no longer apply. If the data are subject to a retention period, they will be blocked instead of being deleted once the reason for collecting and using them no longer exists.
By giving consent to the appropriate use and processing of personal data, all active participants agree that their name will be released and thus made visible to other users.
Providing you have given your consent, we will send you newsletters by Email in which we will inform you about the congress you have registered for and about future congresses we are organising and that may interest you. If you no longer wish to receive the newsletters, you may decline to receive future issues at any time.
Without your consent, we will not use or forward your personal data for our own advertising purposes or for the advertising purposes of third parties.
Generally your data will be conveyed to us in encoded form to ensure that unauthorised third parties cannot access them. We store your data on specially protected servers. Only authorised persons, all of whom are familiar with data protection provisions, have access to your data. Nevertheless, we cannot guarantee the security of the data because unauthorised access and use, hardware and software errors and other factors can at any time compromise the security of the data.
Our internet sites also contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the data protection principles and/or practices of other websites and have no influence over whether or not the operators adhere to data protection provisions. Our data protection principles apply solely to data that we collect.
You are entitled to access and change your data at any time. If you would like to receive information about the data we have saved about you or would like to correct them, please contact CPO HANSER SERVICE GmbH, Paulsborner Straße 44, 14193 Berlin, Germany, Email: email@example.com
If you have agreed to allow other registered users to see your personal data, you may withdraw your consent for the future at any time. In this case, it is sufficient to send an Email to firstname.lastname@example.org
The rapid developments in the internet and in technical design mean that from time to time we have to adapt and thus also add to our information on data protection. You will be informed on our websites about these changes.
